A realistic five-day plan
Use this as a between-lesson routine. Keep repertoire work with the teacher, then add one short supporting-skill task each day.
- Day 1 Open the free note-values drill and review any missed rhythm question.
- Day 2 Practise note reading or key signatures for ten minutes.
- Day 3 Do one aural task: pitch direction, intervals or beat keeping.
- Day 4 Ask two general-knowledge questions about the student’s current piece.
- Day 5 Try a mixed review and write down one topic to ask the teacher about.
